The Jean Nicolet Chapter, NSDAR, is proud to play an active role in protecting and honoring our local history.

Gravestone Preservation

Our members participate in gravestone cleaning, preservation, and documentation efforts that help protect valuable genealogical information and honor the memory of early Americans and veterans in our area. We also provide instruction on proper gravestone cleaning and preservation techniques.

DAR Historic Preservation Grants

The chapter sponsors qualified applications for DAR Historic Preservation Grants, which provide financial assistance for projects that preserve historic records, objects and sites.

Fort Winnebago Surgeons Quarters

The Fort Winnebago Surgeons Quarters is a nationally registered historic site and museum located in Portage, Wisconsin. Owned and operated by the Wisconsin Society Daughters of the American Revolution (WSDAR), it preserves an important piece of early Wisconsin history. Our chapter proudly supports this site through ongoing contributions and awareness efforts.
